Term and Score Explanations
Reported California Standards Test Enrollment in Grade 11 (Top Left of the Report)
The number of CST answer documents submitted for students who were enrolled in grade
11 on the first day of testing whether or not the students were tested. The number of
answer documents submitted by each school were added to produce the enrollment for each
district, county, and the state.
Total Number Tested in EAP English and Math (Top Left of Report)
This is the number of students who responded to any question in the Early Assessment
of Readiness for College English or Mathematics. EAP mathematics consists of EAP Algebra II
and Summative High School Mathematics test takers. The number of testtakers by each school
were added to produce the enrollment for each district, county, and the state.
Total Number Tested in Selected Subgroup (Top Left of the Report)
This is the number of students in the subgroup selected by the reviewer who responded to
any questions on the Early Assessment of Readiness for College English or Mathematics.
EAP mathematics consists of EAP Algebra II and EAP Summative High School Mathematics
testtakers within the selected subgroup.
Students Tested - EAP
This is the number of students who responded to any question for the subject area
reported (EAP) within subgroup.
Students Tested - CST
This is the number of students listed for the subject area
reported according to CDE conventions within subgroup.
Participation
(Students Tested - EAP) divided by (Students Tested - CST), then multiply by 100.
Students (Number and Percentage) Who Scored at Each Readiness Level
EAP uses two levels to report student achievement in English:

Ready for College
in relation to the CSUs content standards tested

Did Not Demonstrate College Readiness on This Assessment
in relation to the CSUs content standards tested
Number indicates the number of students reported in the level. Percentage is the
number of students reported in the level divided by the Students Tested - EAP
and multiplied by 100.
EAP uses three levels to report student achievement in Mathematics:

Ready for College - Conditional
in relation to the CSUs content standards tested
